Default Also looking for apartments, but...

We also are looking to move into the Spokane area, however, we have two small children (2 and 10mo's). So safety is an issue, not so much schools or daycare as they are young and I stay at home with them right now.

I've looked at many apartment complexes and Pine View Apartments seems closest to what we are looking for, as their prices seem affordable for the amount of space and their reviews aren't overly horrible, but the people who actually live in the area (you all ) would know better than I would how safe it is. I've seen some horrible ratings on some apartments (and horrible stories), and don't want to be stuck in a bad area or bad complex for our first time out (not many serious mold issues here in Phoenix). We currently live in a tri-plex home, but don't know anyone in the area to be able to find something similar. I figure once our lease is up we will be able to either buy a home or at least rent one and will know the area some what better. Any help is most appreciated!!

Pine View Apartments 1405 East 30th Avenue, Spokane, WA 99203

Hey Lyzzard - that area is a good area - south hill. 29th is a busy arterial, but you'd be a block away from that. Perry is also a busy street - but if this is just a short term rental you should be okay. I have driven by that area many times - there are churches and schools nearby. I would say that the area might be just a little noisy & busy but safe. Good luck with your move! Hopefully you won't be trying to move right now in this snowy weather. Wait until it melts if you can!

I agree with WendyK. There is a heavily used traffic light at 29th and Perry, so you would have to deal with that. There are alot of apartments, some newer, on Regal. From 44th to 57th. Some are on 57th. Try those. The South Hill is great.

Wow, thanks guys! Traffic shouldn't be a problem for us to handle considering where we are now, and my husband works at night. Noisy and busy is ok in my books since it (hopefully) won't be for overly long. We won't try to move until June at the earliest. It'll be hot here, but should be great up there!

I'll try and check out the other places too. It's hard to find all the apartments in that area online for some reason.

edit~ I just used google with the 45th and Regal and found those apartments! Thanks a bunch

At least if it's a busy road you'll know it'll get plowed! :~) D

Ouch! Put it in writing (include date it started and date you give the letter) and make a copy of it for your records. If someone out here did something like that it would be a breach of contract and you could move out without penalties. Guess I'll look at some other areas. eep!
