Default Are tats and purple hair accepted here?

My daughter and I are considering relocating to Spokane as well as several other locations across the nation. One of my main concerns is that since we are from Phoenix, where the atmosphere is very casual, we don't want to be faced with stares and glares. My daughter is college age and has facial piercings and a couple tatoos (stars, butterfly, not creepy things) as well as occassional pink, blue or purple streaks in her hair. I pretty much wear only jeans no matter where I go, restaurants, movies, church, shopping of course. I'll dress up for the symphony or wedding but that's about it. Is this going to be acceptable here? I am very conservative, just casual.

Spokane is a pretty casual town in terms of dress. As you say, outside of weddings and other similar events where it is pretty widely expected that people dress up, you won't have any trouble with jeans. I'm not sure I can think of a restaurant that you couldn't wear jeans. I also think your daughter would be fine. There are plenty of similarly situated college kids and teens in Spokane. Granted, you won't find the volume or range that you will in a large city (e.g. Seattle or Phoenix) but from what you describe I don't think it would be an issue.
