From the few times I have visited Spokane if felt like home. Thanks for all the great posts regarding it. My wife and I are trying to decide between Spokane and San Diego. Tough choices. Two totally different places but both very desirable : )
That's an interesting couple of cities if you ask me. Unless you're independently wealthy I would assume the lifestyles would be pretty different.
And haven't you heard about the drug cartels that are going to come in from Mexico and take over socal?

We had plans to move to Spokane, but we couldn't sell our houses here. My son lives in Post Falls, was in Spokane Valley. The rest of our family all live in the Spokane area, and we use to own property in Loon Lake. Spokane is like a big city with a small town feel. Someday we will get there.
But we will be there in November for our son's wedding.

I always heard growing up in Spokane that there were over 200 lakes within a 50 mile radius of Spokane. Don't know if that's true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me...wouldn't surprise me if there were more!

There's water everywhere! Ponds, lakes, creeks, streams, rivers, waterfalls, rapids, liquid, frozen, falling, pooling, ponding, streaming. A couple of lakes not that far away that are deep enough they used them for submarine training during WWII...

Shoot, the city's built along a river.

Oh, I love all the water in and around Spokane! I feel so land-locked where we are now in SW Idaho. I miss the lakes, the rivers, the ponds, the streams. Beautiful.

Default Ok, now I'm interested

I've been accessing this site for years and this seems like a pretty good city to relocate to based on the numerous posts I have read. I think it's less expensive than north Idaho, but I would like input on that. I'm sick of Chicago and it's high cost of living and corruption. Who in the country doesn't know how corrupt this city really is?
