One thing that amazes me about the Tour De France is the accessibility of spectators to riders. I'm surprised that no rider has ever been attacked or stabbed by a spectator. The photogs and spectators are way too close to the riders.

I think about that too!
it would be far too easy to do something terrible to a rider.
but almost impossible to fence off completely.

Great TT today. Amazing battle between Schleck and el Pistolero. Schleck did far better than I would have expected. Interesting that he lost the overall by exactly the number of seconds he lost on Stage 15. Great ride by both of them today.

Menchov did well to move up to the podium. And of course, Cancellara, my pick for the day, didn't disappoint me.

I'll admit I would have preferred Schleck over Contador, but that's it for another year.
