Did atlanta ever get a stadium deal done? Until then they are not contenders.

Right now Montreal and St. Louis are favorites for the next round of expansion. Arthur Blank withdrew his bid and nothing has been heard of since so Atlanta is no longer a candidate.

Right now, Ottawa is at the outside looking in. I think it will be several years before Ottawa gets a team, if at all.

The information I found was that those three were the real contenders for the next expansion. Apparently we read two different articles. Since it is at least 3 or more years away, the favorites can easily change.

3 Years would be when the teams start play, not when the winning bid is announced.

Also, Miami stopped being a contender as soon as the foreign money went away. Unless it comes back I dont see an immediate MLS return to S. Fla.

I would love to see Birmingham metro get a professional football team. Maybe they can take the Browns off our hands and take them to a Super Bowl.

Cleveland Ohio needs to start ALL OVER AGAIN From Square ONE...
with new ownership and management and a new team..and let the
Browns go to Birmingham ALA...the Appreciation Of A NFL
Team would over whelm the reality of COUNTLESS LOSSING
RECORDS....And The Same CAN BE SAID FOR THE OAKLAND
RAIDERS...The Raiders Could Fill The Shoes Of The Old LA RAMS
In ANAHEIM CA....Peace

With Jacksonville struggling, it will be a long time before the NFL goes into college football territory.
