The 1904 Summer Olympics took place simultaneously with the St. Louis World's Fair.

Why doesn't this happen more often?

In fact, why not make this the norm? Why not hold a World's Fair every four years in the city that is awarded that years Summer Olympics?

Interesting factoid. However, if there is a world's fair now is it that big of a deal? Does the "world fair" exist in the sense it used to 100 years ago? Isn't the internet essentially a daily "world fair" where fresh new idea are released to the masses?

I like the idea and could see the value in holding a world fair in the conventional sense, and I am not hating on the idea I just had no idea they still had that event.
