Well done to the Tahs. There has been NSW teams in the past with as good a defence if not better than the 2014 version. But never one with as potent an offence. Deserved champions.

Now we have the ITM Cup to look forward to starting next week, and the Rugby Championship too.

Been watching the WRWC ? Ive been half assed keeping an eye on it because coverage is so poor. Great win for Ireland over NZ, has to place them as favourites to win I think.

Bledisloe Cup secured for yet another year. Rugby Championship now looking like a two horse race with NZ and SA.
Large full round of ITM Cup games this week. Good times.

Dave you think Julian Savea deserves some player of the year consideration?

Hi John, personally I think yes.

However for that particular award (and some aren't going to like me saying this) there has often been a bias towards Northern Hem. players.

Other All Blacks that have also been playing great on the unbeaten run IMO are Aaron Smith, Ben Smith and Kieran Read.

Only Northern players I would rate with Savea this year are maybe Parling and Launchbury

Most looked forward to rugby game of the year. And for mine it didn't disappoint. The two best teams in the world play again in 3 weeks at Ellis Park. Hopefully I can get my sleep right on the day to watch it live! 4am my time, gonna be tough.

So how do you all think Sam Burgess will fare in union? I think wikipedia said they'll have him at centre, but can he really run well enough to be an impact player there?

There havn't been many league forwards that have made a great transition to rugby to the forwards. Brad Thorn being one exception. Most of the successful transitions have been from backs to backs.

So he faces an uphill battle esp. if he is to play in the forwards. As there are so many new skills and instinctive aspects to learn. He's one hell of an athlete and league player though. Going to be interesting.
