In the 60' in my TV viewing area:

Verne Gagne

Ivan Koloff

The Crusher (the wrestler that made Milwaukee famous). Always came into the ring carrying a keg of beer.

Baron Von Raushke (probably butchered the spelling). His shtick was "the claw".

Billy Robinson

Andre the Giant

Early 70s watching on Saturday afternoon "Big Time Wrestling"

The Amarillo territory was owned by Dory Funk SR, so we had Terry Dory Jr, Nick and Jerry Kozak, Ricky ROmero, and through the years, a number of greats would show up for several months or years including but not limited to
Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Karl von Steiger
Killer Karl Cox
Karl von Krupp
Sig Stanke
Moose Morowski
Dick Murdock
Lord Hayes

The Capable Kenny (Sod Buster) Jay lived across the street from a friend of mine. So I got that going for me.

The good part about wrestling in the older days was that wrestlers would spend a few months in a promotion and would move on to the next promotion. Nowadays with three or four telecasts a week, you see the same old, same old.
