keep the innings the same but move the pitchers mound in a couple of feet so the pitches get to home plate a little quicker, maybe get rid of 2nd base too.

i have a better idea, lets just leave well enough alone. the game has been doing quite well for over one hundred years, so i dont think that any changes need to be made.
