Unhappy News, Officers: Hunter Kills Friend He Mistook For Deer.
UNION COUNTY, S.C. -- A hunter near Jonesville, S.C., told authorities that he accidentally shot and killed his friend when he mistook him for a deer.

Authorities said Joe Lindler Jr., 48, of Jonesville, died in the woods near his home Monday from a rifle shot to the abdomen area.

Sounds like he's trying to cover up a homicide. All hunters know that you have to clearly identify your target as well as your backstop before even moving the trigger finger from slide to trigger.
