Default Toss Up!!! (3) Top Upsets

In light of the past football season and this past weekend's events...
this week's topic: Upsets.

The Leauge vs. The campus
Which upsets are better?: NFL or College?

Anything you can do...
Who would you rather see?: Mid-major upsets BCS school (example: TCU beats Oklahoma) or FCS upsets juggernaut FBS (example: Appalachian St. beats Michigan)

" 2007 The Craziest College Football Season Ever!"
There were just too many to chose from, so you tell me what was the best upset in college football in 2007.

Pure Dissapointment
What's worse?: seeing your favorite team loose the biggest game of the year or loosing to your most hated rival for years in a row?

The 5th Quarter
What's gotta be more heartbreaking?:
Going 18-0 only to loose in the Super Bowl or knowing that the Knicks suck, the Red Sox are winning championships and the Yankees just can't seem to cut it ?
(Hey, I'm just being fair here. If I ask a discouraging question to Bostonians, I have to do the same to New Yorkers. It's all love, it's all good folks).

NFL vs. College - There are few things that I like college over the pros but upsets are one. The NFL is set up so every team has a shot at winning any game. But in college, there are definitely the haves and have nots. So when a under dog wins, I think it means more.

Anything you can do.... Of course the bigger the disparity, the better the upset. As much as it pains me to say it, but a game like App. St over Michigan is better than a TCU over Ok.

Biggest Upset... It always has to be where the winning team is thought to be dead before they even step on the field. Personally, Michigan beating Florida in the Citrus Bowl has to be the biggest upset. Florida, in the all powerful SEC with Superman at the helm loses to Michigan that had all kinds of drama from the coaches last game, to a crazy season full of upsets.

Disappointment.... It would be worse to lose to your hated rival year after year, than getting to the big game and lose. Atleast you got to the SB or Championship game.

5th Quarter... None of those are worse than going 18-0 and losing the Super Bowl. Just so close to the best record ever. It's gotta hurt.

1. College
2. An App State defeats Michigan is better.
3. Mine is NC State beats Top 25 ranked Virginia, Why? I was there.
4. Losing to your most hated rival. But if you compete in the championship game every year and continue to lose I think thats worse.
5. Going 18-0 then losing the Super Bowl.

I don't watch a lot of college ball but those would have to be more exciting b/c you have college kids playing not paid professionals who you expect to perform.

The small programs upsetting the big dogs is better by far!

Best upset in 2007 college season is APP STATE beating Michigan!!!! As an ASU grad, it was awesome to watch and actually got me a little more interested in watching college football with my husband. Go Mountaineers!

Well my Panthers lost the biggest game of the year to the team I most hate and that still sucks 4 years later!

Going 18 - 0 and not being able to win the big one would have to be horrible. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving team

Hmm. Didn't think about that one. I forgot about Ohio State....
Nothing personal Buckeye fans... it's just the truth.

Without question the BIGGEST upset in the history of sports in the modern world took place in Lake Placid NY in 1980 when a bunch of college won the Olympic Gold in hockey.
If you have never seen the movie "Miracle".....rent it. Better yet, watch the HBO documentary "Do You Believe In Miracles? The story of the 1980 Olympic Hockey team".
It happens to be on HBO4 at one this afternoon. You can rent the video at most outlets. It is one of the most uplifting stories ever.

Default The biggest Upset was Upset

How about Upset himself at 100-1 over Man O War in the 1919 Sanford Stakes at Saratoga. That was Man O' Wars only loss.
