The US is really coming on strong in the rugby world...at least in terms of growth and administration of the game.

I agree. I think it's caught on at a lot of colleges which helps generate interest.

This has got to be a West Coast thing. I didn't even know they were playing rugby here in the states.

NO WAY!! There are a LOT of Rugby clubs in the US! The DC-Baltimore area has like 6 or 7 mens and 4 or 5 womens clubs!
Lacrosse has gotten a lot of hype as the fastest growing sport in the US but I bet rugby runs a close second. Untitled Check out the "find a club" link.

They have Super League teams in New York, Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Super League being the highest level of rugby in the US below National level.
