Great bet !

Arrogate wins and pays $5.40 so it looks like you turned your $12 bet into $32.40

All I can say is: I am glad we are not heavy betters; we would be in dept forever otherwise. What a crappy day hubby and I had. We usually go to the casino for breeders cup or the day before. This year we decided with a big trip to Florida and a cruise coming up in a few days we would save our money. I think it might have been one of the of the few smart decisions we have made lately.

On the other hand, our one son in law and his best friend went to the cup: they do every year and as of mid afternoon, according to our daughter they did very well. Now, I will say they do not bet $2 like we do, they bet closer to $200 and I am sure they have had many losing years.

I have to add, I am a huge Baffert (spelling) fan so was thrilled with the results but felt sorry for hubby: He had bet across on Frosted. I hadn't bet the race at all. Every other race I bet I lost. In fact I only had one in the money and I had her to win: she showed. Hubby hit a couple, but not much.

Yes but lost a little on Lady Eli and one other favorite. Will go forward with the $13.75 since during the BC we heard that Chrome may run in the Pegasus early next year. The Pizza Man runs the weekend of the 25th.

I had a few bucks on Lady Eli, also.

That probably makes the horse a better chance later in the month.
Even the sportscasters of the race said San Pasqual was a prep race for Arrogate so when the rains came the scratch was quick to happen.

Excited for Oaklawn to open this weekend ( actually on Friday )

This track has really moved forward in the past ten years and its payouts is attracting leading jockeys ,trainers, and horses.

Junior Ortiz ( leading jockey in the US ) will be riding in Oaklawn this weekend.

Although I rarely attend in person, I bet daily on races held at Oaklawn.
