I think he is in the process of learning about it. His interview was fun. This would be a great kid to know.

That's it, "No"? How can you be interested enough to post but not discuss? C'mon, you must have a reason?

Getting back on topic (sort of); I think the Olympic National Park would be a great venue! No name change, mountains for skiing and snow boarding, rivers for kayaks or whatever, just spit ballin here. Also Seattle is pretty close, but not TOO close. I think it works.

"Should the Olympic Games be held at a permanent site?"

When I first saw that I thought you meant the Olympic National Park in Greece!

I would like to read your ideas on why you feel that way so strongly. You may have a convincing point of view, eh?

No. Having different venues brings pride to different countries. It keeps the olympics interesting. If you lock it to one place it will become yet another bickering point for various countries and the olympics will turn into a political pissing contest. The worst place they could ever try to make it permanent would be here in the U.S. because we would then start trying to dictate how, when, where and what and try to turn it into a money generating machine instead of a celebration of sports around the world.

Per the question posted I would say no, if there was a country who even wanted to shoulder this financial burden every time what about the others who want to host? It does provide a country a world stage to showcase themselves to the world, its a way of saying we matter also.
