I watched a high school wrestling match once.

No drama. Just wrestling.

I personally don't care for modern wrestling. Its all show biz. When I was growing we had Bruno Sammartino, Gorilla Monsoon, the Von Erichs, Edouard Carpentier, The Sheik, Bob Backlund, Andre the Giant, Antonino Rocca, Bobo Brazil, Shohei Baba, Pat O'Connor, Buddy Rogers and others. My dad used to take us to Wrestling in Buffalo NY. We loved Johnny "Powerlock" Powers, the Gallaghers, Johnny Barend, the Beast, Seaman Art Thomas (really nice guy), Fritz and Waldo Von Erich, Haystacks Calhoun. That was clean wrestling without all the backstories now.

I don't watch the current stuff. Vince relies too much on old guys and part-timers. The criticism CM Punk has rings true to me. Still love watching older wrestling clips and shows on YouTube.

Looking forward to it! My local sports bar bought it on PPV, and wrestlers from the little local promotion will be there. Should be fun!

Jimmy Superfly Snuka, Magnificent Don Muraco, The Road Warriors Animal & Hawk, Pedro Morales, Chief Jay Strongbow, Lex Luger..... The battles between the Von Erichs and the Freebirds. Those were the days of wrestling I enjoyed. I grew tired of the current state of wrestling and no longer watch.

I was at a bar in Boston back in the day. Had a few, and this person who somehow I wasn't paying attention puts his hand on the bar to get up. His hand was HUGE. It was Andre the Giant who was recuperating from an injury. He was with two ladies for when he stood up their heads barely went above his waste. Slapped Hulk Hogan on the chest once as he was entering the ring and though my hand would fall off.

Started off good. Peaked at the Styles/Nakamura match. Should have ended it after that match. The tag team match was useless as everyone knew Strowman was winning regardless of who his partner was if he even ended up having a partner and completely devalued those belts once he brought that kid down. I still want to know who that kid was and what connection he has to Strowman. The kid seems too old to be his son, but I'm guessing a nephew/cousin with possibility of a brother, but I'm guessing they'd have better seats if it was a close relative though, so who knows. Neighbor/family friend?? All I know is it was definitely someone he was related too . And the main event was awful. Should have put that to open the show, swapped that Strowman tag match with the Styles/Nakamura match and than moved everything else up a slot.

Just resurrecting this topic .. 2019 Wrestlemania.. Two words.. TOO LONG.

I believe it finished up at just before or just after 12:30am Eastern.

For a show that basically started at 5pm.. WAY too much.

It wasn't that great a show, either.

Triple H vs Batista could have gone away.. That was a sick match anyways.

Balor / Lashley wasn't very good

Reigns / McIntyre

The crowd was just dead by the time the women went on to close out the show. That wasn't a favor putting them on last.
