unless they charge fake wrestling or boxing ppv fees, I will watch. Being in Nevada, Woods and Phil will be placing side bets between them as they play. Providing they both stay healthy, this event will be huge. A new premise and those initial skin games that they use to play on Thanksgiving weekend always drew a large viewership, often larger than the majors.
They couldn't pay me to watch. If, big if, it was free to watch and their money on the line - I might watch a few holes. But 2 boring old rich guys playing for even more cash, yawn. Tiger on Sunday at major chasing a win is gold, Tiger anywhere else is paint drying. Phil, he's simply a jerk 24/7.
Phil is sort of over the hill to be honest. I don't understand a PPV golf tournament between two. Tiger hasn't won for a VERY long time. Still playing well, but he isn't the best golfer anymore. I think it will be a flop.

Check out the TV ratings. Tiger still brings them in. While both are in the sunset of their careers, they are still among the most popular golfers. And their less than friendly history (until recently) made the idea an intriguing one.
That said - I don't see this being very successful. Not because of Tiger/Phil, but golf is simply not very watchable when you only have two people. On any given week, you have up to 156 people that start a tournament. So you have a selection of shots to show. In this, you'll get two shots, then dead time as they walk down to their golf balls. I believe this was part of the issue when they did this 10 or so years ago.
