Default Toss Up X!!!: If you ran things.....

This week's topic: What if you had the power to control things in sports ?

You want your Silver with Black or Blue ?

If you could choose to be the owner of a team, would it be the Raiders (to rebuild and have to worry about rowdy fans and a bad team) or the Cowboys (moving into a billion dollar stadium with an all-star team.... that may blow up in your face...) ?

*, Again
Would you allow Barry Bonds' 765th home run ball in the Hall of Fame ?

OK with OKC ?

Would you allow the Sonics to move to Oklahoma City or do more to keep them in Seattle ?

The REAL Hockeytowns

If you had controll over which cities would get NHL francises, who stays and who leaves.... what cities would they be?

The 5th Quarter

If you became the head of a pro sports leauge and knew how to make it more popular, which leauge would you choose ?
MLS, WNBA, Arena Football Leauge, NASCAR, or something else ?

1. I'd take the Cowboys over the Raiders anyday
2. No
3. I would do more to keep the Sonics in Seattle and look at moving the Hornets to OKC
4. I'd love to see Houston and Seattle get teams. I would move Columbus to Seattle, not sure who I would move to Houston though. I'd keep Phoenix, Atlanta, Nashvile, and Florida in their positions for the time being. This is a little of topic but I would look at getting a new arena for the Islanders. I wouldnt move them though, Im not really for moving teams that have won championships. This question is something all hockey fans will debate until the end of time
5. MLS

1. I'm not showing favoritism here, but if I could choose to own the Cowboys or Raiders, I'd pick the Cowboys in a second. No offense, but the only California sports team I even care about is the Chargers. And there are several other teams I wouldn't DREAM of even playing for.

2. Yeah, but in a certain spot where everyone wouldn't be able to see. Ya gotta do something with that ball. Good or bad, it's still history.

3. I wanted the Sonics to stay in Seattle... only because.... by moving a team to Oklahoma City, it would make it even harder for Fort Worth to get a team...

4. Moves: Atlanta to Houston/ Nashville to Kansas City / Phoenix back to Winnipeg
Expansion candidates: Seattle, Hartford, Quebec, and Wisconsin
Everyone else: stays where they are

5. I'd take the Arena Leauge. No real reason why, I'd just take it.

1. The Raiders. A legacy of bizarre fun to build on.
2. Yes, with a disclaimer about the evils of performance-enhancing drugs, perjury, and general stupidity (those last two could go next to Pete Rose's name should he ever make it). Not too preachy though.
3. Make 'em stay and build their own damn arena if they want one so badly.
4. Return teams originally from Hartford, Quebec and Winnepeg back to where they came from. No teams in cities where ice cannot form for at least seven consecutive days each year.
5. WNBA.

1) I would take the Raiders; and move them to L.A.

2) Unless they find proof of his steroid use, it belongs in the HOF. I am not naive enough to think he is clean; BUT, it is still a part of history.

3) Seattle had a chance to keep the team, and bonked.

4) I would move some of the Canadian teams to the states; those old elitist codgers are holding the NHL back. Milwaukee gets the Flames; KCMO gets the Oilers; Houston gets the Senators. Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver can keep their teams I guess. Florida and Phoenix are on notice with SLC or Portland, OR waiting in the wings to snag one of those teams.

5) One of the professional lacrosse leagues or the Indy Racing League. Isn't NASCAR already popular?

Yeah, NASCAR is already popular, but what if you could replace one of the Big Four ?
