Yeah I assumed he was talking about the 2016 olympics because Chicago has showed interest to host them then.

The games have become way to expensive for many cities to host.
After the games are done, the host city is often left with a huge bill and massive sites for maintaining.
Some people think that the games should start to be played permanently in Greece, the country where it all started.
However, Chicago should gets its chance before that happens

It would be nice, but you can't ever discount the political aspect of a decision like this. The U.S. has hosted both the summer and winter Olympics more than any other nation. Meanwhile, South America has never once hosted the games. I've got my money on Rio.
