Not really. The Red Sox only recently won championships but they have had successful runs and have a reputation for being a flagship franchise in MLB.
The Patriots were pretty much irrelevant until recently.

I don't think the Yankees have a place on this list...because even though they have a lot of fans, they are hated by even more people. The same would apply to the Cowboys.
I voted Packers. Even people who are not Packers fans respect them. They are one of things that is right about sports.....and the fact that they come from a small city about the same size as my hometown of Scranton, and compete well against the big cities is great.
