I think that besides the major sports (baseball, football, basketball, hockey) they should have an OTHER category which has subcategories for tennis, golf, bowling (these are examples).

Thats essentially what the general sports forum is.

I think the general sports forum is broad and should be for the non-daily sports. Soccer, golf, tennis are major sports even though they are not part of the big 4 (baseball, basketball, football, hockey). General should be for uncategorized questions or weird ones like ping pong, archery (you get my point).
I have to brag here - I just won Ryder Cup tickets for next year at Medinah - I AM PUMPED
Dam! I registered and got nothing, I also registered to be a volunteer! I am jelous, I was prepared to take 2 weeks off of work just to volunteer for the Ryder cup!
I don't know if anyone was watching lately but there has been some great golf being played on the Golf Channel. I am especially loving the late night tournaments being played over seas. The World Cup in China was a great tourny with the US finally winning after not having won it since Tiger and ? won it 11 yrs ago. Can't help to get the itch when watching the golf channel.
BTW Rory is not a very good putter, cripes he looks like me out there some days missing two foot puts! Martin Kaymer will be a great for many years to come, I like his play.
