Is the guy confident? Yes, and why shouldn't he be? He wins ALOT and is the best player in the world. The haters would complain if he had the opposite attitude saying he is faking humility or something similar.
His caddy said something stupid and he rightfully said it was wrong of him to say that. HIS CADDY said it, not Tiger. Great athletes are always confident (ali, Jim Brown, Jerry Rice, Jordan etc) which is one of the reasons why they are so successful.
If you were actually good at something yourself you may understand what I am talking about but until then, keep on bitching anonymously on this forum. Hopefully it will make you feel better.

There was a recent interview with Steve Williams on Golf Magazine. I recommend that read before you place judgment on his actions.
As for Tiger's attitude or sportsmanship (spitting/cussing etc)..... he's not even close to being the only golf player (or athlete) that does that. The difference is that he get's 90% of the air time. I remember one tournament where they cut away just to show him entering and exiting a porta-potty.
The over coverage/ over hype of the guy is created by the media.

All the players on the tour should thank Tiger for being in the sport! If it wasn't for him, their paychecks would be alot less. The purses have gone up for everyone major tournament out there. He has put golf on the map! For the months that he was out with that injury, i couldn't watch more than 5 holes of any tournament.

Your right i love watching golf when Mr. Woods is playing and root against him. With this in mind, he has choked the last two tournaments!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Woods is the most often player who spits on camaera. Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is actually the only player that i ever seen do that.
