as you know, kansas city has been making a strong push for an NBA or NHL team to be the anchor tenant for the sprint center. because of kc's size (about 2 million residents in the metropolitan area) and the fact that there are already 3 major league sports teams in town (chiefs, royals, wizards), the general belief is that the city can only support one more top-level pro sports team - either in the NBA or the NHL, but not both.
suppose kc lands an NBA team, and that this completely eliminates the possibility of an NHL team coming to town. would you support your local basketball team out of civic pride, or would you still have no interest in following the NBA? just curious.
If the NBA came here, I wouldnt never even attend a game. The NBA is complete and utter trash.
They really arent making that big of a push for an NBA team here. They are making a lot of effort for an NHL though.
I live in San Jose now but since I spent so many years in Pittsburgh... I'm a fan of all the Pittsburgh teams. But, since I love hockey and I go to as many Shark games as possible, I like them a lot also. When they play each other, I'm kind of torn :-)
NFL- Packers
MLB- Red Sox (first game I ever went to as a kid and caught a foul ball)
NHL- Blackhawks
NCAA-Texas, HOOK'EM
NBA- Just follow don't have a main team
NFL - Cleveland Browns. You don't need to feel sorry for me.
NHL - Columbus Blue Jackets
NCAA - Ohio State. We bleed scarlet and gray
MLB - Anybody but the Yankees
NASCAR - Hendrick Motorsports minus Jeff Gordon
NBA - Cleveland Cavs, although I don't follow the NBA much at all anymore.
