Default Disc Golf

I havn't seen any disc golf threads here, so I was wonder if anyone around here plays, and where do you play?

The bests courses near me are La Mirada and Sylmar, but we have at least 10 other courses nearby, including a very tough course at Chavez Ridge that overlooks Dodger Stadium.

I've also played at one of the best courses anywhere, in Santa Cruz. I've also played in Berkely, Lake Tahoe, Vegas, Maryland, and Aroura Ill.

I only play for fun and hardly ever keep score. I've never entered a tournament, because I would probably come close to last place if I did.

that's not me in the pic, I don't know who it is. I just found it googling.

I disc a lot. Coming up it was Adler Park in Libertyville, IL, which is an awesome course, but only 9 holes. Now my home course is Reedy Creek in Charlotte, NC, but I plan on traveling to SC soon to see some of there storied courses.

I just started getting into the game. There's a park in Mint Hill, NC not too far from where a friend of mine lives that has a 9 hole course. I'm right now not that great, but it's still something fun to do.

Yes, it's called Chavez Ridge. I can give you directions if you need them. Just send a direct message. I could also meet you there for a game, but like I said, it's a tough course.

We have two nice 18 hole courses here in St. Louis in various parks (glad to know my taxes go to SOMETHING worthwhile here). My wife and I grab about 10 discs, a cooler of micros, and enjoy! We are nowhere in the league of any of these posters, but I have had a few eagles and we're getting better. It's a little easier during the Winter months where there is less foilage to intercept the disc!

I've played a few times, but I stopped because I thought it was considered a 4:20 sport. Can't have the employer thinking that.

This was true maybe 7 years ago. It's far from the truth now. You'll still see them out there, but you will see many others that don't partake in the "fun"
