CriTAUcal will become famous soon enoughCriTAUcal will become famous soon enough
Question Love em', Hate em' we sure do like em'

Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Michael Vick, Terrell Owens, Notre Dame football, Duke and North Carolina basketball, New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, BCS, ESPN, steroids. These are the topics that fuel sports message boards and sports-talk radio.

My question is why? Why do we love talking about these athletes, teams and in some cases networks throughout the year?

Very different scenarios

Kobe--Talented, but reeks of arrogance and that rubs people the wrong way. Also plays in the mega market LA and tries to act like MJ

LBJ--Freak manchild people have been watching since he was 15. Provides the most highlight reel plays and is still young. Also heavily endorsed.

Michael Vick--Non-typical QB who some people loved and others felt was vastly overrated, then he went to jail

TO--A trainwreck, people don't look away from those

Duke/UNC--Storied college basketball in a state where thats all that matters

NYY/Cowboys--"america's" teams self proclaimed. They spend the money and bring in the superstars.

BCS--Cause its retarded, like College Football rankings as a whole

ESPN--B/c they have ruined sports coverage, and anyone with half a brain resents that

Steroids--They make your grandpa angry, even though the results taking of taking them is quite small, basically negligible.

I don't get it? There are plenty of us out there that DONT focus on these issues. These topics are focused on more by ESPN then message boards.
