My favorite (baseball sportscaster) Joe Buck story:
"Fox's Joe Buck, who won the sports Emmy for best play-by-play announcer Monday night, asked a doozy at the end of the 2001 National League championship series.
Buck was interviewing the Arizona Diamondbacks' Tony Womack when they were joined on the field by a woman.
Said Buck: "Who is this, Tony, your mom?"
Womack: "No, man, that's my wife.""

Joe Buck, guy is an idiot. Only there because of dear old dad. I agree on McCarver. Them together...I watch something - anything - else.

KornH was gawd awful in the booth. It was painful. But that was never his job/career so gets a bit of a pass. I do enjoy PTI though.

easily Chris Berman doing anything - baseball, golf, whatever - the guy is atrocious and how he's made a career in sports broadcasting is beyond me

That Malcom in the Middle guy who worked for Fox Soccer, well pretty much all of Fox Soccer's announcers where horrible. Balboa for Altitude, all he does is state the obvious" "Yeaaahhh you know" is his catchphrase I think

Tirico sounded like a Miami Heat homer from his radio broadcast of the championship games. Agree on Gruden - don't like him as a broadcaster or a television personality for that matter.

I cannot believe nobody mentioned Verne Lundquist. He makes watching SEC football impossible. Mike Patrick was terrible on MNF, the best announcer will always be Pat Summerall. Will someone please emulate his style again, or was his delivery inimitable?

He has always had a Lebron James bias. Some of his commentary during the Cavaliers series back in the day were atrocious. He doesn't hide it well at all.
