Dick Stockton is awful. Maybe he was decent back in the day, but right now, he has to be the worst. He forgets players name, is a step behind on the action, and does not bring any excitement to the game. I think he needs to either pick one sport (does baseball, basketball and football), or just retire.

What's Good about Verne Lunquist?
Nothing

Seriously, I used to watch SEC games on TV with the sound turned off.

Then again, you can do a drinking game, see how often he repeats the same word or same phrase, says "Oh My what happened?" or totally misses a call
"Touchdown...no wait, fumble...no penalty...no what happened?"
Worst of the Worst.

Oh yeah, Those 2 ^^ are awful. I can take Lundquist to a degree but Danielson not at all. Guy is awful. Sadly I went to an SEC school so I hear(d) them a lot.

Johnny Miller, who at every U.S. Open has to remind everyone how hard Oakmont was when he won there.

Tim McCarver is awful, I loved it when Deion dumped water all over him.

Hands down, Tom Hammond. The play-by-play announcer who loses track of downs, players' names and just about everything else. Then, to top it all off, he looks like Martha Raye in those old commercials hawking Polident.

Ron Franklin was, hands-down, the best play-by-play announcer for college football. Not even close, though I kind of like Sean McDonough.

Stockton used to be good doing NBA games, thirty years ago with Tommy Heinsohn. Lundquist used to be decent doing basketball, as well.

Best college basketball pairing is Jay Bilas with Bill Raftery, though that is sadly coming to an end. Many will hate this, but I also enjoy listening to Bob Knight do commentary on the games. An a-hole, but his analysis is the best and you will always learn something from him if you listen.
