Attitudes like that propogate this bad behavior among our spoiled athlete luminaries.

Even that's not a good comparison. Those men all had history of inappropriate behavior -- Rose off the field, the other two on the field. This is one incident for Williams. One ****ing incident.

Yes, Serena lost her cool. From what I heard in the morning news the league has fined her over $10K but is now considering taking away her check for the Open and not letting her play in further Slam Championships. This is a bit ridiculous when you consider this type of thing happens all the time and worse. What she did was not common practice for her so not sure why it is being blown out of proportion. Her and her sister mean a lot to the sport and the league would be idiots to put her off.
There is an elephant in the room and I believe one of them happen to be the fact that her and her sister have dominated the sport over the last decade and I guess this proposed probation is a chance to get others back into the game.
Also, to the person that made a reference to Serena being on steroids many men like her just the way she is. Not all guys like the skinny girls.
Finally, McEnroe was never an angel.

I don't see how this incident by Serena is any different than the dozens by McEnroe and Conners. If the league comes down any harder on her than they ever did on them, I expect Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton to be all over the TV real quick. I really hope I don't have to see that.

Tennis SHOULD be different than those sports though.
She acted like a @*$&@$&* and I personally think she should be suspended from playing professionally for at least a year, if not more.
I know Johnny Mac was a jerk sometimes, but I don't ever think he was this bad. He did break a few racquet's as well, but he is more famous for "you can't be serious", than he is for threatening to shove balls into body orifices.

Jealous, of that?
Are you serious?
Anyone can act like her and throw a temper tantrum and act like a 3yr old toddler not getting their way.
It's disgusting, and quite frankly not needed NOR desired in tennis.
I thought she was better than her sister, I guess not.

Why do I think that if it were a skinny white girl this wouldn't be anywhere near as big a deal? A deal, yes, but no one would be calling for blood.
