After watching fat baseball players jog around the diamond I'm sure the right cricket player would easily beat any baseball player over one hundred metres.
Is there any baseball players who can really go ?

Have you actually watched baseball? Yes there are some slow guys, but there are some extremely fast guys too. You could just out and say--I dislike American sports so I am going to make a thread about it.

Since cricket pitch is short compared to a baseball field, I feel that cricket players are fast runners. Also they can just tap the ball in front and run hard. But some baseball runners are really fast. Since they have to cover a long distance, they run at lightning speed.

If let some people tell it- a nascar driver could probably beat a baseball player in running....cause you know they're athletes and stuff

Power hitters, pitchers? Yes.
Most centerfielders in the league would be as fast or faster than most cricket players.

Think about rugby...some of the guys are definitely slower and more powerful for a purpose so replace what you said about baseball with rugby.

I can't believe this is even a question. You are required to be fast in baseball unless you are a great pitchers. Even guys like Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa were extremely fast early in their career. Baseball players are far more powerful and faster than Cricket players. Baseball players would have an easier time transitioning to cricket than cricket players to baseball. Look at the guys playing cricket, these are not world class athletes.

Thats where I disagree, ALOT of factors go into both sports but I just don't think we can really compare them.

Now that this has been settled, I've always wondered "Who's faster, a bowler or a pool player".
