I know Dallas Cowboys are not always the most straight arrows but Romo's ill-timed trip to Mexico with Jessica Simpson and some friends sure beats the story around Ben Roethlisberger...

now the police supervisor (which I guess means chief) in Milledgeville, Georgia where the crime alledgedly took place has resigned...
probably because he made some really inflamatory, judgemental comments about the female accusor...

apparently being able to have your photo taken with an NFL quarterback is more important than investigating whether he might actually be guilty...

Officer involved in Roethlisberger inquiry resigns – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

I remember when the Duke lacrosse team was accused and found guilty by press/public condemnation based on invalid accusations...and again because of sloppy police work and an overzealous prosecutor looking to make political headway...

so I am not saying he is guilty--
but for heaven sakes--get an accurate history of the events and treat everyone the same...no special favors for sports stars...

and just hope that Tony is really getting to be as level-headed as Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach...

no one is above the law.
But those in the spotlight who are weathly etc...draw attention from fame seekers...

RE Ben; charges dropped by DA.
now a brother of a girl is saying she was "acosted by him" here's the story. Girl was out (don't know if she knew him before or not) but was the "designated driver" to drive Ben home. He was very drunk... she walked him up to his bedroom, he "reportedly" then closed the door and dropped his pants and said she could do whatever she wanted with him. She left. THEN... Ben invited her over for a party he was having, she went...and he again was "reportedly" drunk and put is hand up her skirt.

My question is... if you were "threatened" the first time, why in the hell would you go back to his house for a party? Aslo in my many years of life I have had unwanted advances etc... drunk guys "pawing' at you etc...you slap them down and stay away. You don't don't keep hanging around the creep.

Not here to "blame ANY victums" AT ALL. but it just seems with alot of these sports figures women come on to them etc... then when they don't get what they want or are treated like a 1 night stand they cry fowl for payment. These mega sports stars are easy targets.

Based on Ben's track record...he likes to drink, he likes women, and he is not too smart about those women...He should use his money to hire a sober (smart) companion to drive him away and keep him out of trouble.

people are stupid...
Big Ben among 'em---he had "security" guards at that club--they apparently did not do anything to impede what HE wanted to do--and if they knew the girl was incapacitated because of alcohol intake and allowed him to take advantage of that lapse--they are guilty of conspiracy and aiding and abbeting the crime--if rape is proven--they can be charged as well
having people who are supposed to be "protecting" you and that just means they keep people from stopping his bad behavior is certainly not going to do him any good...or them...
if he can't be trusted to go out in public and drink within moderate limits--he needs a KEEPER--not just someone to drive him home...
anyone who does not know his/her limits and keep within them has a problem--
with alcohol/drugs, with attitude, and ultimately (it seems) with the law...

and that club sounds like it is breaking the law by serving people who are at/over the limit--

I just meant that so far Romo has made some mistakes but not of this magnitude--just hope they stay within bounds

All I know is that he sure has brought alot of attention to Milledgeville. He even still can be seen in the area from time to time as he still has probation here on Friday's. It's funny because we usually don't have famous people in Milledgeville.
