Personally I think is a one man show. Not much of a team sport.Having said that is one of the sports if not the one that requires the most coordination and athleticism.

Soccer is a one man show and not much of a team sport?

You dont get anymore of a team sport than soccer. It is the ultimate team sport. What the hell are you talking about?

It must be Opposite Day, because this is what he said of baseball:

Having said that, Baseball is about the most complete and unique sport there is. It is structured to be the ultimate team game. Almost every player on the field has the same opportunity to contribute to the game. It is the only game whose purpose is not to take a ball from one side to the other. Every park is different, and have a different feel to it. Watching a game at Fenway is a completely different experience than watching it at the Wrigley. “Wanna be” professional players have to go first to the minors and develop, in addition players can build long careers in baseball.
Nevermind that much of baseball is either sitting on a bench or standing in a field while one players pitches to another. That's why they're able to play 162 games in a regular season, plus a month of preseason and up to 19 games of postseason.

Yes I believe baseball is the ultimate teamsport and soccer is a one man show, what the hell is "opposite" about that. In soccer as in basketball the best player in the team can score the most, while in baseball every player has the same chance to contribute. The fact that some players are standing in the field waiting doesn't say anything about the team aspect of the sport.
Baseball is about expectation and drama. In addition to every player having a turn at bat, when the ball is hit, every player plays an important role. In soccer as in basketball one guy can run straight form one side to the other and score, that would never happen in baseball.

I agree that baseball is a safe sport, but that is why baseball players has the most fascinating and long careers. Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr., Ozzie Smith, etc.....

I can watch soccer every now and then, but is not my cup of tea!

One player cannot dominate a soccer game at all. You're so far out of your territory here. The comparison to basketball is ridiculous because it is so much easier to get the ball to one of five players on an indoor court, where one man can run the length of the floor and score. Baseball revolves around the pitcher, who begins every single play with the ball in hand. Soccer moves from the back to the middle to the front, often going side-to-side along the way. It is much more a team sport. One man trying to do everything will not only fail, but burn himself out over 90 minutes.

Baseball does not revolve around the ball, so your argument that baseball revolves around the pitcher because he has the ball is plain wrong. But you know it is stupid to compare baseball with soccer because they are just two completely different animals. Maybe I'm wrong about soccer, but you are definitely wrong about baseball.
