Has to be Golf. I mean they had to invent some kind of game for those
athletic incompetents. What is Golf anyway? It is men in funny colored pants, walking.
Hey dont come down on me. I pulled those lines right from David Brenners comedy show. He has lots of anti Golf jokes.

If you take the time to actually get a moderate understanding of the game, it's quite fun to watch.  In fact, during the last olympics, more Canadians watched curling than hockey or figure skating.
Or, better yet, try it yourself. If, after throwing rocks in a couple of ends, you still think that it's "silly", that's fine. But, it's a shame that you have this preconceived notion about a game that is played and enjoyed by millions of people. |

I was one of those crazy people who woke up at some ungodly hour to watch that shot put competition from Athens. I love to watch any and every sport. I loved watching curling which surprised the snot out of me, but I really dug the trampoline competition. I'm such an Olympic geek and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Thank you.

It amazed me too the first time I saw it (which was just at a local rink). I'm hooked now though, and am on my way to a *bonspiel* this weekend. It takes a little time to "get" the game itself, but if you see people who really know how to throw a rock (and sweep), it's a beautiful thing to watch. |

I watched an episode of How It's Made where they made the curling stone, it was fascinating! They just started a curling club up north of me ... I need to find time to go check it ooot.

Nope. They do have skins games, but most of the elite curlers have "real jobs". |
