Default confused?

Ok..now I'm confused. Did LJ suggest something? Is it in another thread?

Maybe you guys have this happen....when I log on it looks like no one has been posting. Then I mess around in other threads and when I go back here then it looks like it has updated, but I only see some of the pages.

Is there a trick to updating the posts?

Thanks, MrsC

Default Plains10..slight modification suggestion?

Plains...a great idea to separate Springfield. I think, however, since the airport is the Springfield-Branson airport, perhaps it might be a good idea to subforum it the same? Springfield-Branson area?

I would think that would be a good idea, but the city-data administration organized all of the threads that pertained to Springfield and the surrounding towns only. I think one of the reasons they did that was because the Branson area is listed as a micro area and not a metro area by the census bureau. I do not think they included any Branson threads in the Springfield area sub-forums. Therefore, any questions about Branson and the Table Rock Lake area will be posted in the general Missouri forum. I have a post regarding what cities and counties are covered in the Springfield sub-forum. The thread is stickied

Guess it is a local custom to refer to the two cities as being separate entities. When I lived in St. Louis we always referred to Springfield and Branson together, such as when planning trips, vacations and such. Even now here in mid MO, we think of the two cities together because of tourist sites. Kinda like bacon and eggs. They are both delightful and and important cities in SW Missouri .

I sent a reply to the administration about adding the threads concerning Branson to the Springfield area sub-forum. I also asked if they would change the title of the sub-forum to "Springfield/Branson area." I have not heard back if they will process the request or not. I am working hard to please everyone, including Lake Junkie. She wants to have the Branson threads integrated into the Springfield sub-forum as well.

Default Springfield-Branson...

It does seem like one area to me.

Branson seems more joined to Springfield than...Harrison. And Harrison is closer.
The airport...Springfield-Branson.
And our coffee club? Springfield - Branson. I know Plains 10 is workin' overtime trying to figure this one out! (P10...URK! You know I'm not pickin' on ya...!)

Still...I'm gettin' whiplash looking back and forth and trying to figure out where I belong...

Feelin' kinda lost.

Normally I would say to you Plains10...don't even try as it's a waste of time. However the fact that we have soooo many incredibly sharp people tossing out the recommendations this is definitely something to pursue. Your hard work and efforts are appreciated 'round this place.

You're doing a wonderful job, Plains10! Please consider our comments and whining as just that...not criticism of you...okay?
I know I'm not alone when I say that am grateful to have you as our moderator and wouldn't want you to think otherwise!

"P10....URK!" Is this some California lingo Lake Junkie
I know you are not happy with some of the changes, but the Springfield/Branson sub-forum will be organized soon. I will make sure that the administration gets on top of this one. I fugured that they would add the Branson threads in with the Springfield threads.
Don't worry about feeling lost. The Missouri forums are getting MORE organized with time.
