209 N 2nd St Ozark, MO 65721 (417) 581-2116 Take Hwy. 14/Jackson St. offramp off Hwy 65 and go east. After you go over the Finley River Bridge and the street curves, turn left on Brick and then right onto 2nd St. and park. You're there! (Btw, Jackson St. turns into 3rd St. as it curves so don't get too scared if you see that!)Gotta run if I'm gonna make it on time to welcome the gang! ![]() MrsG Last edited by mrsgenealogy; 03-12-2008 at 09:27 AM. Ok, here's my take on the schoop. There were 5 of us that showed up: Our always wonderful MrsG, our beautiful Glam Girl, LJ, the irresisitable Darlynn, myself, , and our newbie cool chick, Califokie. ![]() ![]() We had a terrific time visiting about whatever subject came up. And among the conversing, cackling & laughing, we enoyed coffee and mouth watering, homemade, Pecan cinnamon rolls. Mmmmm Mmmmmm The service at the 'Riverwalk Jazz Cafe' (formerly known as 'Coffee Bean Jazz Cafe), was great, while the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. So much so, that I wouldn't mind meeting there again. ![]() ![]() LJ had business to attend to, so we didn't have the luxury of her presence as long as we would have liked to. ![]() The rest of us went Antiquing for a little bit after the meet ended, and we had a great time looking for treasures together.Once Darlynn & Califokie parted ways with us, MrsG & I spent the rest of the afternoon continuing our Antiquing adventure, and ended with a very nice meal at 'Rosie Jo's Cafe' in Ozark. Our server was Josh, and he was a very pleasant young man....which was good, cuz we ended up staking a homestead there for over 3 hours. ![]() ![]() And GUESS WHAT????? They had Fried Pickles!!!!!! Woooooo Hooooo!!!!! Of course I HAD to get some, especially since MrsG had never partaken of this culinary delight. Their Ranch Dressing was made by hand, and complimented the pickles perfectly. And....I am happy to report that I was able to convert MrsG, and gain a new member to the ever growing 'Fried Pickle Lovers' club. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() All in all, for me, it was a fantastic day, and I look forward to many more gatherings with our awesome CDF family members. Regarding the pix, MrsG is going to post some as soon as she's able. Until then, hopefully we'll hear from the other gals, and get their take on the day. And as for next month's meet & greet, I don't think it was discussed, LOL, so we'll have to wait for the rest o' the gals to check in and see what works. To those of you who weren't able to attend yesterday.....I really hope you can make it soon, because we really do have a good time!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jabbering too much, Boof ![]()

I was there, but didn't bring the camera. Mrsg and boof did, tho. Lakejunkie and califokie were also in attendance. The Riverwalk Jazz Cafe was very interesting! GREAT cinnamon rolls and Hazelnut coffee! Had a "musical" theme with all sorts of antiques and little "do dads" sitting around. The bathroom was not gender specific and was made almost entirely of antique doors. Very cool, but haven't seen a "bipartisan" bathroom since Houston!
Afterwards we went antiqueing at this great little place with a tea room and each had our own little "flashback": seeing things that we saw at Grandma's house growing up! That was fun! I can't wait til the rest of you guys get here! We will have to rent the convention center!! ![]() |

Ok Gang o' mine.
I believe we agreed that we would do 2 (two) events in April. A coffee klatch earlier in the month and a show (thanks to Darlyn) later in the month (the 26th?). So how about Coffee on the 9th or 10th? Any suggestions? The French Hen in the north end of Branson looks promising (no you won't have to go IN to Branson). Or someplace in Springfield (Kaldi's? Churchills? Other?) Anyone know any place in Nixa....maybe we can get snake8 to come out of hiding... ![]() Sorry I missed this weeks event...love the jazz cafe. |
