We live in a rural area and have a septic system. Please tell me why the pump would run constantle and we hear a swooshing sound in the bedroom closest to the tank. We had it pumped in April of 2011.

Don't know but I'd have someone check it just in case. I know we used to flush brewer's yeast into the septic tank about once a month (now there are products specifically made for the purpose) as a preventative measure to prevent problems.
