I can only repond with, "Yeah, but she's MY dog...and I love her." However, I don't try and force other people to treat her as more than a dog nor do I try to take her everywhere with me.

Having said that...if the hubby and I were to move to MO...would we (or rather I) be looked at weird if I happen to be walking my dog and she has a doggie shirt on? :P
Well, maybe slightly. I have seen similar things in winter though. Most will likely find it cute.

I tell myself they belong to people with bad backs and I make sure and pick up one two of them each time we go out as a way of thanking God for my good back. For these anti-pet people... I'm guessing you don't live alone. I'm guessing you have so much human interaction that you don't feel the need for the unconditional love of a pet. I'm not that tolerable and the only people that really know me and like me is my dog. You never know how important a person's pet is to them. Ling Ling is housebroken every bit as well as I am. She'd rather hold it than go anywhere other than outside or on a potty pad. And she loves me every day no matter what.
Lollie, I live in the same resort, and yes, also mentioned that people don't pick up! I'm the one with the Black and White English Pointer and the Bassetxlab mix, say hi if you see me! I pick up other people's crap for them too!
