Deer in the headlights...

I don't know how effective they are, but my cars always have a deer whistle in the grill. They say the deer can hear it and won't run in front of you...

Here's an article I found about deer and the automobile:
Deer-Vehicle Collisions are Numerous and Costly. Do Countermeasures Work?
I don't know if it works but it makes me feel like I'm doing something besides watching out for those red reflections...and you don't hear anything.

Thanks living in Fl. I never heard about that. So when I move up I can check it and see how much it cost and if it works

KC to Ozark
Last time we drove it (about 5 years ago) it took us about 3 1/2 hours. The airport, unfortunately, is north of KC so you have to allow for traffic and construction!
You may also look into Tulsa. SW flies into that facility and it ends up taking about the same amount of time from there to here.
Between KC and Ozark...It's a pretty flat road, but beware of speedsters. If you hit it on Friday afternoon you'll be driving with all of the KC folks itching to get down to one of the Lakes.
We've also flown into St. Louis. It ends up taking a little longer to drive (again the airport is the north end of the city) but not by too much. And no major hills to speak of....mostly rolling hill type.
Springfield is definitely the better place to fly into if you don't mind paying a little more. Saves hours of driving both ways, dealing with city traffic, and
unknown delays (construction). The city is trying to get people to fly using the Springfield airport. They need higher volumes of traffic to attract lower priced or more frequent carriers.
