Default Scrambling to find an affordable outdoor venue to have our wedding

My beautiful fiancee and I are planning to get married in september (I know, Short notice!)

Does anyone know of any good outdoor locations that are very affordable?

She is still in school, And I will be funing the wedding alone, so every dollar saved is a big deal

Wommack Mill, Fair Grove. Call the city office at 759-2353. They can get you in touch with the historical society that runs it.

There is a historic octagonal stone barn between Willard and Ash Grove that I understand is being fixed up for events. Known as the "Gilmore Barn" . They have a website: The Round Barn wedding venue springfield Mo - About Us

I assume you can still rent pavilions at the city parks. Check with the Springfield Park Board, the Greene County Parks Dept., and any other community/county close enough to suit you.

If you can go out of town a bit, I found this phone number for Jolly Mill near Pierce City - 417-476-2607. Hulston Mill would be lovely as well, near Greenfield - see Historic Hulston Mill.

How about the Nathan Boone Farm north of Ash Grove - Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site

It is likely others will have better suggestions.

Fassnight Park by Parkview HS

For an ourdoor wedding, be sure to have an indoor Plan B in case of bad weather.

I got married at the Bear Creek Bed and Breakfast just north of Branson. It was so pretty, even in December, though I so wish I could have had an outdoor ceremony. (though it really wasn't cold even then!) It was VERY affordable, crazily so!

Here's a link for you: Branson Missouri Bed and Breakfast and Bear Creek Lodge Cabin Rentals | Branson Missouri Vacation Lodging

The food was incredible, the little cabin we stayed in was soooo sweet! They took care of EVERYTHING! I'll post you to my wedding album if you are interested, just pm me. They do flowers, food, decorations, cake, photographer, everything! The outdoor area is so pretty, but the chapel is super sweet too, so even if the weather is bad, you'll still end up thrilled!

Price wise, for everything, it was incredibly affordable, just have a look at their possible ceremonies!

(food for breakfast was really good too! and I plan to stay there again soon!)
