There is a community stable but I'm not sure if it's still open for new horses. I've heard (rumor) that it's being phased out. The sales guys could tell you for sure. No caretakers although someone does live down there as far as mischief makers are concerned. Horses are no longer allowed on the individual properties on this side of the hiway 65. You can talk to the salespeople about the larger lots on the west side of 65....I'm not sure on those.
Also, for those of you that live there, does anyone work in Springfield? I'm curious what the commute time is for arriving at work at 8:00 and leaving Springfield around 5:00? I'm guessing 30 minutes to Sunshine & 65?
Lots of people work in Springfield. I go up there a couple times a week and it takes me about 25 minutes to my doggie camp on Kansas Expwy. Coming home at 5:00-6:00 has never taken me more than that either unless there has been an accident.
Last question, is high speed Internet service available (aside from HughesNet?)
] DSL is available thru CenturyTel which is also the phone provider in Saddlebrooke.
This does sound like a wonderful community. We enjoyed the speed limit signs along our drive through. The signs impart a whimsical feeling to an already tranquil development. Thanks again.

Love the development. I have found the people to be warm and caring. The people taking care of the place take pride in the development and work to keep the feeling of tranquility and beauty.

Thanks in advance for the helpful responses to these questions and to those questions posted earlier. I suspect that some of the questions may be addressed on the Saddlebrooke website, but sometimes its best to get information "straight from the horse's mouth."

If you own a home site that is 5 acres or larger you are allowed to keep up to two horses on your property, assuming your fencing meets the CC&R guidelines. There are no caretakers at the facilities because our owners all take care of their own horses. They are a great group of people who really help each other out when they are out of town, etc.
I live right off 65 and Sunshine and is about 25 minutes door to door for a commute, driving about 65mph.
Every home site in Saddlebrooke has DSL available through Centurytel.
I hope this helps If there are any more questions just let me know

All. Thanks for the helpful info. We're about to list our home for sale, and depending on how quickly a sale occurs, we may be looking deeper into Saddlebrooke. I have a good feeling about this development. Thanks again!

Saddlebrooke is a great place, but due to relocation, health, etc. we must sell our lot, cheap, trade or finance.
