No thanks. They tax both social security and pensions. I guess you folks are so rich that it doesn't matter?

No, we actually have managed to have several days of some glowing yellow orb in the sky.

And it does NOT feel like August. I have my windows open, and the low temps are in the 50's right now.

It's a beautiful area..

Minor point, but Missouri has been phasing out the tax on Social security since 2007. 2012 was the last year SSI was taxed.
Military pensions are mostly exempt from taxes in Mo (we are a very friendly state to the military).

Private pension exclusions have been increasing and are based on several factors including how they are
taxed by the feds. Mo does not tax pensions today to the extent they did prior to 2007.

IRA's, however, are taxed like all states that have income tax....at standard income tax levels. They were exempt from income tax up front....now we pay the piper.

Cloud 9 is a year round camping resort. 6500 acres of woods, cold creek, caves, 6 campgrounds, 2 pools, club house, 175 miles of ATV trails, restaurant and I could go on and on. One time membership purchase and very reasonable maintenance fees. Member ownership. Missouri's best kept secret, I guess, as we've lived in Arkansas for 10 years only 100 miles from it and had never heard of Cloud 9 until 2 years ago! And then it was a friend in Illinois who clued us in! LOL
