We live in Ocala and are also looking to relocate. Florida has lost its luster for us too. Late in the month we are going to MO to look around. It will be sometime till we can move, but need to see the area. Contact me in the next month, and maybe I will have some first hand information for you. Tell your girls when school is done they will get work anywhere so don't give up the education. I am a respiratory therapist, and have never had trouble finding work.

Default Have had both.

I had Cingular for two years, have now had Alltel for 4 years.

None of them is perfect, but I think Alltel has better service more places.

Who says Springfield is the 9th worse place to raise a family? That's just silly...there are MANY places across the U.S. where I would not want to raise a family and Springfield is definitely not on the list.

Question ???

I would second the question...where in the world are you getting that Springfield is not a good place to raise a family???

We moved here from Sacramento to get out of a major city and back to a slower, more sane place...partly to finish raising our kids in an environment that is more like California used to be...

Better yet, every time I see my neighbor kids playing in the lake in their back yard, I think THIS might be the best place to raise a family!

I would say Ozark, Republic, Nixa if you want to be close to Springfield. I'm sure, though, the population is over what you want. Keep going futher from any of those towns away from Springfield, and you'll get the population that you want.
