Default Missouri Health Insurance

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of health insurance in Missouri, Blue Cross for example. When I retire I get a partial payment from my current employer but will foot the majority on my own.

Thanks

Obviousy it will depend on the age thing when getting your quote. We found that when we moved here from CA, each state is it's own. We had Blue Shield of CA and in Missouri it is Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Missouri (Anthem). We are self insured and we had to apply. One state does not just assume the carrier from another state. Me and my children were accepted, but my husband was not. He went on an Missouri Insurance Pool.

We now have Mercy Heath Plans and all family was accepted. They are through the St. Johns Network. The other option here is the Cox Network. Good luck and unfortunately I really don't know what your price would be. PM me and I will give more specifics.

Smile Cost of Health Ins. in MO

That was good info, depending on where you live, but there are plenty of options, as long as you shop hard! Look for the best quality through your local providers like the hospital or doctors. They know who pays their bills.

I don't know your exact situation, but we found that private insurance here in SW MO was about 15% less expensive than Las Vegas NV. We could use the same carrier (Assurant Health) with the exact same type of coverage so the comp was easy. They use St. John's.

My husband goes on Medicare this year and there are several options available but we'll probably stick with St. Johns.
