Rogersville
We are set to look fly in on Friday and look at homes in Nixa but have heard that Rogersville is a nice area with great schools. Is this true? Can anyone tell me about that area? How big is Rogersville? Is there a super walmart there? Any shopping? How far from Springfield is it, and so on...
Thanks for your help

I have a friend who grew up there so I can share a bit of what I know, and I am sure others can fill in the blanks that I will inevitably leave.
Rogersville has about 1500 people and is about 30 minutes to the "heart" of Springfield, but only about 15 or so from the edge of town.
I know literally nothing about the schools except that my friend got in Mizzou so it can't be too bad.
I don't think there's a wal-mart. I could be wrong, but I recall driving to Springfield for that. It has basics like Hardees, McDonalds and Subway and a couple little "ma and pa" type places, but as far as I recall that's about it.

Rogersville has really grown a lot in the last few years and will continue to do so. It's a bit further from Springfield than most parts of Nixa and Ozark, but not by much, and it's a very easy drive on Hwy 60.
Nixa and Ozark have more stores, restaurants, etc but they also have populations that are about 5 times larger than Rogersville. Your choice will probably come down to personal preference of the feel for each town, because all three have a lot to offer (including schools).
Have fun during your visit!

Rogersville;
My knowledge of Rogersville, Strafford, Marshfield, Nixa, Ozark and Branson are limited, but you can get all that info by Googling their town names. My opinion is that they are all very good places to live with all the necessities available and still really small enough to enjoy and feel safe in. Plus they are all within an hour of Springfield.
