Default relocating to Branson, MO

Our family has been vacationing in Branson for about the last 15 yrs. and we love it there! We were thinking about moving there and wanted to know about the schools (including any fees the schools charge for cirricular/extra-cirricular) and a nice area to raise our family. Any information about the area would be greatly appreciated.

Check with Lake Junkie. She is all over this forum. She will get you the info you need. You can even pm her and get your personal questions answered. Just click on her name at the top left and it will direct you to her personal email, etc.

All my children are adults and haven't been in school in this area for years.

Hope you get answers to your questions.

Red face Thanks, skeating...I try.

Hello party of 6!

I love Branson, too...so much that I moved here (from Springfield) 4 years ago. I live in Hollister, just south over Lake Taneycomo from Branson.

Here's a link to the Branson School system: Branson Public Schools
And the wonderful new Rec Plex which should have anything the school is missing: http://www.bransonparksandrecreation.com/index.htm
A link to the chamber of commerce: Branson Missouri vacation lodging, hotels, shows, Chamber of Commerce

Branson Schools seem to have the best rep around...I've had families check out all the high schools including those north of here, and choose Branson over all.
Outside of Branson schools, Reeds Spring school system* has top ratings and a great sports program, and Hollister* is setting the world on fire with small class sizes & new facilities.

*Reeds Spring School district includes Branson West, Kimberling City, Reeds Spring & Indian Point.
*Hollister School district includes Hollister & Ridgedale areas.

I would encourage you to call the schools and schedule a tour, they will give you a much better overview than anyone else can!

It's a great place to live...please let us know if you have any specific questions...or peruse this forum to see lots of varying info on lots of subjects!
(Try the search button in the upper blue bar...)

Have fun!

Thank you Skeating! What are your friends' opinions on the area schools, hospitals, etc. I know every district has good points and their own set of problems, just curious to find out anything we can. We have been talking about this for a long time now, everything seems to be falling into place for us to do it now. Thanks again!
