Although they are dangerous and destructive, I still love the excitement in tornado warnings! I would love to be there right now, peaking through the window, at the clouds...

Default Latest news...

Softball size hail 1 mile west of Bakersfield, MO. A tornado(?) must have touched down in Gasville, AR (sp?) because there's been quite a bit of damage.

The storm is on its way to West Plains area...basically gnarly weather between Cabool and West Plains...and points northeast and southwest.

Tornado warning now set for Baxter, Newton & Searcy counties in AR and Ozark and Howell counties in MO. Cities in these areas are Mountain Home in AR and Gainesville and West Plains in MO.

Stay home and get ready to take cover if you're in this area!

Is this near Eureka Springs, Arkansas?! I'm just wondering, because I know that area in NW Arkansas. It is pretty near Springfield and Branson.

Hi, Yucca! Here's a map for you:

(Eureka Springs is up in the left corner of the map.) They're about 85 miles apart but it's apparently hilly...cause randmcnally.com says that it takes 1 hour 50 minutes to get there!

I don't think I've seen you around here before so allow me to say, "Welcome"!!
My my! You've been a busy girl around here...having just joined in the last 5 days and already posting over 30 times! Whoa! You go, girl!

Glad to have you here! I look forward to hearing more from you!

MrsG

Oh, Voyager! I'm so sorry to hear that! Apparently, there are some people who are having a really bad night, tonight.

Thanks for telling us. Do you remember where you heard it?
