Just had a hailstorm here in Sacramento. Um I lived out here 12 years and I think its my first one. It was exciting to see the clouds change it reminded me of the midwest.

Hail in Sac? Oh, my.
Hello MOviaCA...you'd have loved the storm on Wednesday night...it was thunder & lightning with sleet...
I'll never forget the year it got down to 17 degrees in Sacramento and killed all our citrus trees in the back yard. Must have been about 16 years ago. My hubby got the bright idea to wet down the ripe oranges, lemons & grapefruit because that would "save" it...we ended up with citrussicles.
Never seen anything like it.

Here in southern AZ (Phoenix area), high temp predicted to be around 80. But I'd prefer living in the Missouri Ozarks to Phoenix. I hope to get back to SoMo for more than just a visit that I made several years ago.

Spring is just around the corner. It is so close, you can almost smell it. Today is blue with sunny skies. It is a nice change, eventhough forecast shows thunderstorms for tomorrow. So, today we will enjoy! It is 49 degrees in the shade right now.

So nice we washed the car today! Moved the patio chairs out to the lawn and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the hills behind us. Yes, I can smell it, but I suspect we may have to shovel it a bit more before it's over.

It was extremely warm (71F) and very windy with 45mph wind gusts. We call that "blowtorch" warmth for this time of year. Sunday night it could be snowing again here in E Kansas according to the NAM computer model. The weather in this area is just crazy.
