Default How's your weather today?

Wondering who has ice/sleet today and who doesn't...

We have had sleet/hail off and on all morning. About 3 inches of the stuff
accumulated around the house and on the drain slopes of the roof. The front windows are iced over and you can't see outside unless you open a door.

I'm ready for SUMMER!

Hi Mrs. CC....it is in the high 70's here in southern California...sunny and blue skies. That's the good part. The other aspects that make us want to leave California still remain. I'm not sure that I'm ready for sheets of ice, but I appreciate and look forward to much of the rest of your area.
Stay in, stay warm and stay safe.

High of 50 in Oregon today. Oh yeah, and maybe a little rain. It wouldn't be the northwest without a little rain!

My hubby and I are newcomers to MO and I cannot believe what we have experienced in the month we have been here (not quite a month). There is always something new to see. This morning we woke up to icicles hanging from the trees and that is a very pretty picture! But I too, am ready for spring and summer. I really want to see what gardening is like here. But since winter is not over maybe we'll get to make a snowman before spring.

Hey Mr and Mrs Krinkle ...come join us for an OTFCC get together. Normally we meet someplace once a month for coffee so we can all chat, meet newcomers to the area, etc. Many of us have been here a year or less.

Bungee Brain...if you moved to this area, come join us too. Not clear if you were still in Phoenix or here now.

And today we have a little snow spitting and getting ready to start up...yuck! About 1/2 of ice all over everything today...not going anywhere today....again....

Default Ice

Hi Mrs. C,
Here in the Hudson Valley of NY, we had about 3 inches of snow late yesterday, and now there is a freezing rain that is turning it into frozen slush. Schools are closed. Even our intrepid paper girl could not make it up the hills here until 8:00am...she usually delivers around 4:30am. The frozen, iced trees look beautiful, but the branches are starting to get weighed down. I have to figure a way to find some dry kindling to get the wood stove started up again, as it burned itself out overnight. This is just the kind of weather when the power goes out. It is a silent fragile crystal world out there today. How is it by you today?
