Default Possibly moving to branson

I might be moving to Branson soon within my company (I would be working at the Chateau on the lake.) and was wondering how are rental properties around there? We currently live in Colorado Springs and are paying $1350 for a 4br/3bath place. We do have a horse (he is not at the house we are renting right now) but we would be looking for a horse property out there. We are not ready to buy just yet as I don't know if it would a permanent move to Branson. Does anyone have an Idea on the home rental situation around Branson?

Default Rentals.

Welcome, Xar!

You'll be in my neck of the woods...
I love Chateau's Sunday brunch.

I usually recommend (we don't do property management, sorry) people call Thousand Hills Real Estate, or Bart & Brown Realty, or try Branson Daily News or the new Branson Tri-Lakes Property Management 417-739-1902.

Also ask around. It's a tough place to find rentals, but it can be done.
Some of the houses on the MLS are open to a lease option type of financing...if you don't find something on the open rental market.

I've had other people wanting to rent horse property...very rare.
But no problem finding a rental home for your baby...he or she?

Stop by the next coffee meeting...we'd love to meet you!
(See the thread above for the Over The Fence Coffee Club...)

Default Welcome to Branson

We're glad to have you Xar77.

You might try posting an ad on bransonhometowndailynews.com. They have a section called the garage sale mail bag that they read on the radio show called the Garage Sale. This is a local radio station KRZK / KOMC and a lot of the listeners live in the surrounding towns that would have the sort of rental that you are looking for. If you are looking to board your horse somewhere drop me a line I have a friend that does that sort of thing.

Another website you could check out is Missouri's Hwy-13.com for Kimberling City and Table Rock Lake It's mostly for people in Branson West, Kimberling City, and the like, but there's a link for classifieds on the website and there are sometimes rental properties on there. There's a forum area like this website, so you can get addicted to researching the area that way too.

Hopefully Welcome to the area. If you get transferred, come join us for coffee (Over the Fence Coffee Club thread).

You may have to go further out to find horse rental property, and as LJ said, they exist, but you have to work harder to find 'em. You may want to post an add in some of the local little rags..Rattlesnake Trader, etc.

Xar, I think everyone here knows this area better than I do, but we recently relocated to Branson and also were searching for a lease property - although not with horses! If you send me a Direct Message with your email address I can tell you a bit about our experiences and how we went about it. Coincidentally, we also moved here for Chateau - my husband is the new Asst. GM/Director of Food & Beverage here.
