HGTV Dream Home?
There's a lot of speculation going on at the HGTV blog that the next HGTV Dream Home will be built in Forsyth, MO. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this? My husband & I both love Missouri (his family on his mother's side is from the Cape Girardeau area and I have family around St. Catherine.) We would dearly love to see the Dream Home there.  |

It hasn't made any news here that I'm aware of to date. As I understand it, not a single person who has "won" a dream home has been able to afford to keep it. Forsyth, in my opinion, is a cute little town, but perhaps not an ideal "dream home" location. I could see it somewhere in Branson, Hollister, Ridgedale, etc...

I know, it's such a shame the way they do that contest. Not only do you have to come up with the winnings tax (which is nearly 1/3 of the value of the prize) but then you'd have to pay property tax on the thing year after year- I know I wouldn't be able to keep it. They might as well just give away cash |

I think I read somewhere that it is going to be located in Tennessee? I could have misunderstood though. |

Blech....Missouri would have been a much better choice IMHO.
