Default Maybe moving to Sparta

I was wondering if anyone in Sparta or even someone who used to live there could tell me a little about it. My family and I may be moving (if the financing goes through before the house is sold) to Sparta this summer. I drove through but did not look around much. How are the schools? Is it a pain to drive to and from Springfield to work? Is the town quiet? The house we are looking at is by the schools so is the traffic bad around school time? I live in Lebanon now so I want somewhere where it is a little more quiet. Also my oldest will be in the middle school. Do they offer a band program? When we lived in Illinois they cut the band program and she is concerned about that....lol

Default Traffic...Sparta....

I don't think traffic is an issue in Sparta.

Unless you think waiting behind 4 cars at the stop sign is unbearable.

I strongly suggest you call the school and talk to them about their programs and opportunities.

Sparta is a wonderful area and I can't imagine not loving it!

Well waiting behind four cars is much better than waiting behind 50 cars like I do now. Everything I find about Sparta seems to sound like a great place to relocate.
Thanks for the information. And I will call the schools and ask about the programs I did not even think about doing that.

Sparta is a great city. It's growing, but it isn't growing too fast. The school district offers many programs and activities for the students, including a band program for the middle school. I grew up in Sparta, although I just recently moved away for school/job purposes, I'll always think of Sparta as my home.
