Default Hey Mrs. G

So sorry to hear about your mother being ill Mrs. G. The picture is so nice. I read your other post about your concern on her medical treatment and it reminded me of some of my experiences. When you said..."what were they thinking?"....I remember thinking exactly the same thing a number of times. I think back to when I found my Dad after his stroke and I rode to the hospital in the ambulance...I was so naive....like a kid I guess. Looking back....I assumed so very much in medical care. Problems started very soon after arrival at the hospital and continued off and on for the next 10 years he lived. I learned all I could about everything wrong with him and every medicine and side effect and latest breakthroughs and most important of all....never ever assumed anything again. It was made a little easier by the fact that one of my sisters is a doctor. And even she got frustrated at times. I still remember some nights in the hospital feeling more like a sentry....than a concerned loving family member. Suffice to say...it made me so cynical about healthcare. At least that is my excuse...But for anyone who is compromised and cannot make their own decisions, it is so vital to have a loved one managing their care for them. It's wonderful your Mom has such a thoughtful, caring daughter for that. I hope she continues improving and things go well for you too. Have a safe trip...

Unhappy In Memory of Mr. Chilicook

Just wanted all our CD friends to know that on May 10th, Mr. C was doing some rototilling and had a massive heart attack...and was gone.

It's been a really tough couple of weeks but Mrs. Chilicook wanted to let everyone in the Over The Fence Coffee Club know that she's ok. Many of you met Ed at the coffee clubs in months past...he was an awesome man and will be sorely missed.

How sad to hear about your mom MrsG. I'm hoping things take a turn for the better for her when you get out to CA.

OMGosh Mrs.C I'm so sorry to hear about MrC...so sorry indeed. Prayers from the jammer clan to the MrsG and MrsC families.

Default June OTFCC

Based upon the third Wed. of the month schedule the next OTFCC will be at 10:00 on June 18th. Any suggestions as to where this time?

And thanks for the thoughts LJ and DJ. Ed (aka MrC) was a wonderful man, my best friend, and a caring husband. I miss him a great deal but I know that someday we'll see each other again.
